Gifted & Talented Nominations

Dear BISD Parents,

All BISD campuses, grades K-12, have a special program directed toward students identified as gifted and talented. During January every year, nominations for the identification of students who may be gifted are open. The nominations are for placement for the 2015-16 school year. Students may be nominated by any interested person, including teachers, counselors, and parents. Students who are nominated will only be accepted if they qualify as gifted/talented according to the BISD screening policy and the established criteria. Some of the criteria include intelligence quotient, achievement testing, and teacher inventories.

Attached is the nomination form which must be completed and submitted to your student’s campus no later than Friday, January 29, 2016.  Please contact your campus counselor with any questions you may have.
