Volleyball camp set

Lady Panther Volleyball Camps will be July 21st-24th from 9-11am for incoming 3rd-6th graders, then 12-3pm for incoming 7th and 8th graders.

The Freshmen camp will be on July 28th-31st from 9-12. All camps will be held at Bullard High School. You can get a registration form on the Bullard ISD website under Athletics or you can register at camp.

The 2014 Volleyball season for the high school will begin with a mandatory Parent/Athlete meeting on July 31st at 6:30pm at BHS. Then Monday, August 4th – Thursday August 7th will be 2-a-day workouts. Introduction will start at 7:30am and workouts start at 8am. Times will be from 8-11:30am and 1:30-5pm Mon – Thurs. Be sure to have a physical turned in with the training staff before Aug 4th. Contact Coach Belshaw if you have any questions.

Back to school shoe drive

Buckner and 89.5 KVNE have joined forces for the Back to school Shoe Drive that will benefit East Texas children in need.

You can donate new shoes at the Bullard ISD Administration Building at 1426B. S. Houston.

Needed: Youth 4 to adult sizes – athletic or canvas shoes are the most needed.

Choir takes state honors

Seven BHS choir students brought home state medals in competition this week:

  • Sean Kimble – 1st Division Gold
  • MedalAlyssa Kilgore – 1st Division Gold Medal
  • Daniel Shumate – 1st Division Gold Medal
  • Amelia Burris – 2nd Division Silver Medal
  • Kalyn Johnson – 2nd Division Silver Medal
  • Shelby Luptak – 2nd Division Silver Medal
  • Katie Trezist – 2nd Division Silver Medal

Band takes state titles

The Bullard High School Band won 24 Medals at the U.I.L. State Solo & Ensemble Contest on Monday, May 26, 2014 on the campus of Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville, Texas.  The Panther Band had 38 students competing on woodwind, brass, percussion and twirling solos and ensembles.  I am very proud of all these students that competed.  Practicing and performing this literature that they do not see in the full band setting, helps make our band program better.  Congratulations to all 38 of these students who competed.

The Panther Band received eleven First Division ensemble gold medals, seven First Division solo gold medals and six Second Division solo silver medals giving the Panther Band twenty-four First Division medals at the State U.I.L. Solo & Ensemble Contest.
