Four Bullard ISD student-athletes celebrated their commitment to play their sport at the collegiate level during a National Signing Day ceremony Wednesday morning at Bullard High School.

Garrett Nuckolls will play basketball at Midwestern University in Wichita Falls, TX. During his junior season, Garrett averaged 20 points, six rebounds, and five assists per game and sank 95 three-point shots. He was named East Texas Offensive Player of the Year, Best Preps Basketball Player of the Year. Also a track athlete, Garrett was crowned State High Jump Champion last spring.

“Garrett is an outstanding player who has made a lot of sacrifices over the years to reach his goal,” head coach Dean Nuckolls said. “Today, those sacrifices are paying off.”

Bullard Lady Panther Softball saw three of its seniors sign letters of intent today.

Pitcher Hadi Fults will head down to the coast to play at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Over her high school career for the Lady Panthers, Hadi has pitched 225 innings, earning 287 strikeouts. At the plate, she logged 111 hits, 130 RBIs, and 20 home runs.

"Hadi has been a standout two-way player for us all three years of her BHS career," head coach Julie Murry said. "She has influenced our program tremendously as a tough pitcher and power hitter, and even more importantly, she is an amazing teammate and friend."

Second baseman/outfielder Callie Bailey is heading to Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas. In her first season playing for the Lady Panthers, Callie logged 57 RBIs, 27 stolen bases, 56 hits, 53 defensive putouts, and 22 defensive assists.

"Callie is a player that moved into Bullard as a junior and helped elevate our program immediately," Murry said. "She is a highly skilled competitor with tremendous softball IQ."

Catcher Teagan Graul heads up to Kansas to join the squad at Butler Community College. Taegan is a force behind the plate catching 453 innings and earning 660 defensive putouts. She is also a leader at the plate with 61 hits, 58 RBIs, and seven home runs.
