National Signing Day

Four Bullard ISD seniors, one baseball, one basketball, and two cheerleaders, signed letters of intent during a National Signing Day ceremony Friday morning at Bullard High School.

Bryson Mason will play baseball at Central Alabama Community College. Bryson's season was cut short last year due to a hand injury. He was limited to 21 innings pitched and nine at-bats, but he had 29 strikeouts.

“Bryson has worked tirelessly with his rehab and was able to perform well in the summer and fall,” said head baseball coach Robert Ellis. “I look forward to him having a great 2023 season, where he will serve in many different roles, including catching, middle infielder, and pitching. Bryson has a great work ethic and is a leader.”

Lady Panther Basketball player Tre’Anah Coppock will continue at Panola Community College. Tre’Anah averages 15 points, six rebounds, and five assists per game for the Lady Panthers.

Lady Panther head basketball coach Kendell Redd said, “Tre is an all-around talent on both ends of the floor and can affect the game at multiple levels. She is a wonderful athlete to have in a program and an amazing teammate.”

Camryn Stringfield will take her cheer talents to Stephen F. Austin State University. Bullard varsity cheer sponsor Jordan Pope said, “Cam has worked hard and pushed for this her entire life, and no one deserves this scholarship more. It's nice seeing a student’s dream become a reality, and it's even better when you know how hard they worked for it.”

Lexi Walsworth will join the Dallas Baptist University cheer and stunt teams. The team-elected captain while on the Bullard squad was praised by Pope for her valuable leadership skills and cheer expertise.

“Lexi was voted cheer captain by her peers for a reason,” Pope said. “Yes, her cheerleading skills are insane, but who she is as a person and leader makes Lexi unique. DBU is so lucky to have her.”

Congratulations, students and families!
